1st meeting of the project in Iasi, Romania

The first meeting of the European Leonardo da Vinci project “INOVES” took place in Iasi, Romania, on 25-28 October 2013. The team project coordinator, SC TRAINING CONS 2005 SRL Iasi, Romania participated in the meeting, along with the project teams from the partner countries: National Agricultural Advisory Centre in Brwinow, Poland, IMPULSA IDEAS, SL, Spain, Bolu Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization, Turkey, Association USIT, Spain, Department of Biology, University of Florence, Italy, District Governorship of Sultanhisar, Turkey, Vocational High School of Mechanical Techniques, Bulgaria, Association „European Values ‚Äč‚ÄčInstitute”, Bulgaria.

The partnership project is developed in the frame of Lifelong Learning Leonardo da Vinci Programme, its main objective being to develop innovative methods and strategies in educational and vocational training field about the efficient use of resources and sharing this practices among partners.

The project addresses to the teachers, trainers, tutors working in the field of resource usage and environmental protection and in similar professions in training centers/ institutions or schools.

The concrete objectives of the partnership are:

- to encourage the exchange of information and best practices on resources efficiency;

- to ensure sustainable cooperation through resources efficiency;

- to develop an education and training institutions on resource efficiency;

- to discover new areas of work for employers, especially areas for resources efficiency;

- to encourage environmental protection and a healthy lifestyle through efficient use of resources;

- to identify the problems from factories and to promote guidance and counseling so as to increase employment;

- to increase the use of ICT and language learning for vocational education;

- to facilitate mutual learning through mobility.


The main results and outcomes of the project are:

-          Three pilot training courses about efficient and ecological use of resources for environmental engineers, for farmers and for students of VET school;

-          A project Web site (Natural Resources, Renewable resources, Efficient use  resources  applying, Biodiversity and ecosystemic services, Environmental protection, Saving resources, Employment possibilities);

-          Workshop “Ecological and efficient use of the resources and incidence of utilization of resources for  ecosystems: green technologies”;

-          Workshop ”Best practices for  efficient use of  the resources applying and integration of skills needs of the labour market into VET”;

-          A guide about the innovative strategies /methods for Vocational Education and Training  related to efficient  and ecological use of resources  (the guide will content 10 innovative methods/strategies minimum);

-          An International Symposium related to strategies /methods on efficient and ecological use of resources, renewable resources, environmental protection, saving resources, employment, eco - innovation, „green jobs”;

-          A good practices handbook (The handbook will be in English, in paper and electronic form too; the handbook will content 10 examples of good practices  minimum).


The motivation of this partnership is inform more our target group about the initiatives foreseen by EU Commission to promote on the  efficient use of resources in Europe (Flagship initiative under Europe 2020 Strategy, Brussels, 26th November 2011) and customer empowerment (institutions, population) to determine them to consume products that save resources, appealing to innovation and economic efficiency and to combine the efficient use of resources with the benefits of environmental protection and of a healthy life.

Through our activities and the help of the partners who work on environmental factors we can make our target learners be aware how the environment is vital and how its resources can be used efficiently and more ecologically. By this way, firstly we can increase the awareness of our addressees on this matter and after that of the target group in local, national and international dimension.

To achieve our goals, we will follow a strategy in the next two years through a well developed plan. According to the program, the tasks were equally distributed among partners, in order to be active involvement. Thanks to cooperation with partners from different sectors and activities, we aim to achieve good results. In this way we will also be able to achieve a sustainable cooperation between different institutions, but working in the same field, promoting mutual learning. In addition to sharing new information between partner institutions, our goal is to transfer what we get from other organizations that are related to the subject project.

On the first day of work in the project, the activities aimed:

- to knowledge partner institutions, to share positive experiences in European projects and the field of the project by the partners;

- to present the project by the coordinating institution (objectives and outcomes, tasks, deadlines);

- to present the activities carried out by each partner in the project from 1st August 2013 up to present;

- to establish the following steps to accomplish the project, the immediate tasks and to set deadlines for partners involved.

On the second day of the project we continued the discussions, we filled in the evaluation questionnaire and we distributed the certificates for every participant at the meeting.

The cultural factors play a decisive role not only in daily life, but in the educational side, as well. So, following this meeting, the project coordinators have organized several cultural activities with the intent to know the culture of the Romanian people, as well as ti improve the interaction between partners. The city of IaŇüi, where the meeting was held, it is an important cultural center of Romania, with many museums, churches, monuments, universities, libraries. The visits of the historical city center, the Union Museum, the Museum of Romanian Literature, the Central University Library, the Galata and Hadambu monasteries helped the guests to discover the culture and history of Moldova and Iasi. Tasting the traditional dishes of the region have completed the project meeting in Romania, making it memorable for all participants.
