Second project INOVES meeting – an unforgettable experience

The second meeting within the Leonardo da Vinci European project “INOVES” took place in Elche, Spain between the 25th and 28th of April, 2014. The project coordinator’s team participated at the meeting with the other project teams from the partner countries: District Governorship of Sultanhisar, Turkey, Department of Biology, University of Florence, Italy, National Agricultural Advisory Centre in Brwinow, Poland, MPULSA IDEAS, S.L, Spain, Bolu Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization, Turkey, Vocational High School of Mechanical Techniques, Bulgaria, Association "European Values Institute", Bulgaria, USIT Organization, Spain (which was also the host institution).

The workshop entitled “Ecological and efficient use the resources and incidence of utilization of resources for ecosystems; green technologies” took place on the first day of the project meeting, where the intervention of the Spanish (USIT) and Italian partner stood out.

After that the host partner organized a technical visit to ASPE- wastewater treatment and recycling plant, where the participants observed the complex process in which the wastewater is treated and reintroduced into the circuit. The treatment plant’s specialist gave the participants information regarding the technical process, knowledge and skills that professionals working in this field should have. Then, the host-partner organized a technical visit to “PACO RUBIO” ecological farm from where the partners received necessary explications regarding the activities developed in that type of farm and also the demands this type of company should fulfil for this kind of activity.
The activities developed in the project by the partner institutions were presented in the second part of the day.
In the second day of the project meeting the presentations continued and after that the dissemination activities and initial evaluation reports were presented by the partner institutions. After that the coordinator of the project presented the realization of the tasks presented by the partner institutions and also the tasks that need to be accomplished in the near future.
In the second part of the day it was organized a visit with a guide in Elche- also named “Palm tree city”. The visit included the city’s park which contains rare palm tree species and Mediterranean plants, the tourist centre of Elche where a movie that presented the city was shown and the participants had the opportunity to learn about the host-city and also about the “green” attitude and ecological behaviours of the citizens.
After the evaluation of the meeting and after giving/ receiving the diplomas the partners tasted some local foods, saying goodbye until the next meeting which will take place in Poland.
